Mailshield Quarantine

MailShield Quarantine is the anti-spam application that is included with all ProCirrus exchange email accounts. 

Flagging Spam

Every user you send to is automatically added to your trusted list unless their email includes a virus, phishing attempt, or other blocked item.  If you recieve spam that you believe should have been captured by the system, simply forward it to [email protected]

Seeing your Spam

There are two ways to view spam: 1) the automated Quarantine Report that is emailed daily and 2) by logging into the MailShield Quarantine website at https://blocked.procirrus.com

Quarantine Report Email

You will receive an email based on your preferred schedule, usually daily.

When you open the email, you will see a summary of the emails that were intercepted as spam.

From the Quarantine Report you can:

  • Delete all the intercepted contents
  • Click the "Release" link which will take you to the MAILSHIELD QUARANTINE website and prompt you with the following options to release the email.
  • Click the "Block" link which will take you to the MAILSHIELD QUARANTINE website and prompt you with the following options to block the email.

 

 

MailShield Quarantine Website

You can access your spam emails and manage your spam settings by navigating to https://blocked.procirrus.com and login with your ProCirrus login credentials.

Site Overview: Main Navigation

The main navigation will default at your spam email list.  From there you can navigate to manage your settings, blocked senders and trusted senders.

 

  1. The list of Spam emails is the default location (see Managing Spam List below)
  2. This opens and allows you to edit your Blocked Sender list
  3. This opens and allows you to edit your Trusted Sender List
  4. The small dropdown arrow next to your user name opens an options window where you can set preferences and logoff.
      1. Preferences allows you to set your Time Zone and language
      2. Settings allows you to adjust the filter levels on your spam filter (if enabled by your firm's administration)
      3. Reports allows you to set the frequency of your Quaranine Report Email

 

Site Overview: Managing Spam List

The main spam view allows you to view and manage your spam in bulk.

  1. You can select single or multiple emails to manage
  2. Once you've selected your emails you can:
    1. Release Mail which will send it to your inbox
    2. Release and Trust which will send it to your inbox AND add the sender to your trusted list
    3. Delete and Block which deletes the email from Mailshield and adds the sender to the blocked list.
    4. Delete the email from Mailshield.
    5. Clear All will remove all spam from your list without taking other actions.
  3. This is the preview pane for your selected email.
